Leaving a Creative Legacy
I’ve always believed in the power of a good story. I was the kind of person who cried at ads... because the good ones made me feel something. That’s what pulled me into this creative space: a chance to build empathy.
After a strategy internship at a NYC agency, I was hooked. At the time, my university didn’t have anything ad-specific. So in my senior year, I started the school’s first student-run advertising agency.
Others had tried before, but it hadn’t stuck. With a small team, a lot of determination, and support from mentors and peers, we made it happen.
We worked with real, paying clients. I negotiated our first fee. Managed a team of 7. Grew membership by 190% in the first year.
One of my favorite parts was seeing students across majors and campus life collaborating creatively together. I sketched our logo and teamed up with the lead designer, Jay Do, to bring it to life.

That experience helped shape where I am today. I was awarded by the American Advertising Federation as a Most Promising Multicultural Student because of it.

But none of it would’ve been possible without the people around me.
